Cookies and storage

gigacandle sets no advertising and no tracking cookies. It has no analytics provider, no tag manager and no social embeds. What it does use is a small amount of local storage in your own browser, listed in full below.

What is stored

All three are local storage rather than cookies, which means they never travel with a request and no server, ours or anybody else's, receives them automatically.
If analytics ever arrive
Any script that is not strictly necessary is loaded through a gate: it sits in the page inert and only becomes a real script once you have chosen "allow analytics". Choose "essential only", or ignore the banner entirely, and it never runs. That gate is in place today with nothing behind it, which is why the banner is honest about there being nothing to allow yet.
Clearing it
Clearing site data in your browser removes every key above. On gigacandle.com that means the banner asks once more. On the app it also signs you out. Questions go to hello@gigacandle.com.
